Vector Approaches

Vectors to final (VTF) are activated when the flight director mode transitions from LNAV (Lateral Navigation) to HDG (Heading). The FMS will create an approach that consists of an intercept leg leading in to the FAF (Final Approach Fix), removing any legs that existed in the approach prior to the FAF.
